WHO WE ARE

Sparrow Song Studios is the home of all our creative endeavors; music, both live performance and DJ, photography, writing and the events we hold to build the communities we love. Together we chase after our passions. Derek kills it curating the perfect playlist for every occasion and designing the perfect atmosphere for parties and events, and plays live music with me. And I (Sallie) show up with camera in hand to document the big moments in life, or my guitar to sing about them.

Our Signature Package includes up to six (6) hours of professional DJ services, delivered by an experienced DJ who curates the soundtrack of your event with precision and style. Dancing on a Cloud for a magical, fairytale ambiance, creating a dreamy, ethereal look for their first dance using low-lying fog from dry ice and hot water that hugs the floor, making it perfect for unique photos and a memorable, romantic experience. 

Wash lighting transform the venue’s atmosphere by bathing large areas in soft, customizable color, creating romance, unity, and mood transitions (e.g., calm dinner to energetic dancing) while enhancing visibility and defining spaces, making a generic room feel magical and personalized without harsh shadows. 

Bubble machines provide a whimsical, low-maintenance alternative to traditional send-off materials like confetti or sparklers. Bubbles represent the joy and lightness of marriage, or the release of worries as you start a new journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHEN IS THE BALANCE DUE?

For all events the deposit is 50% at the time of signing, and the balance is due 30 days before the wedding day. A payment schedule can be created upon request.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

A: Absolutely! In our consultation we will talk about your budget, decide which package and add on’s are best, and work out a payment structure that makes the most sense for you.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO CONTACT YOU?

A: The sooner the better. I usually book weddings 12-18 months before the wedding, Corporate events two – 4 months in advance, and private parties and small events at least 2 weeks in advance.T

WHAT ABOUT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?

A: It’s typical for weddings to be at two locations. There is a second set up for ceremony and reception at separate locations to ensure the right equipment and team are there for a seamless transition.
